Short description

Practical examples with the state-of-art tools are applied by the student. Relevant tools are iRiS-Power, SP249 etc.

Objectives

Participants are expected to:

-be familiar with the practical implementation of the learned techniques
-be able to model consequences on different level of risk assessment
-know and be able to apply the different inspection and monitoring strategies
-know the RCFA principles and their implementation

University students of Steinbeis European Master Program in Risk Engineering and Management, and similar programs.

Course Content by Units

VGB 506 Methods (Uncertainty assessment)
Inspection techniques, inspection effectiveness (POD)
Principles of risk assessment in power plants (ref. CWA 15740)
RCFA Principles. RCA examples
Monitoring of pressure and temperature
Exhaustion-calculation (TRD code), effect of uncertainties of input data

 

Teaching Methods

Guided application of learned concepts through state-of-art tools.
