Short description

The course will provide knowledge related to the development of the ability to plan, conduct and write scientific work such as transfer work and documentation, feasibility studies and different reports. Also, the course will provide knowledge about literature usage, acquisition of scientific argumentation, conclusion and making presentation of results.

Objectives

The participants will develop skills to:

- acquire the ability to plan, conduct, and write scientific work (e.g. transfer work, transfer documentation and reports, feasibility study work and master's thesis),

- get instructions for literature search in both classical and electronic (through databases and on-line resources) manner,

- exercise their scientific art of argumentation,

- address the issue of formal design and presentation of scientific work,

- learn the principles of empirical work,

- be able to solve problems on their own and in proper time using scientific methods,

- recognize the possibilities of combining different disciplines and aspects of their own company to solve problems and

- get insights into dealing with the flood of information in daily practice of decision-making.
